CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing
The CCN delivers CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing courses several times a year across the UK
CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing
The CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing programme aims to assist individuals within the cleanroom sector in obtaining certification in testing or enhancing their knowledge. This is achieved through the provision of up-to-date information, training, and examinations. The programme contributes to the industry by validating competency in testing or managing cleanrooms across various applications.
The Importance of Testing
Ensuring the proper operation of cleanrooms is essential for maintaining a clean and safe environment. Testing is a crucial measure that should be undertaken both at the outset and consistently throughout the cleanroom’s lifespan. This process verifies the adequacy and quality of the air supply, ensures effective air movement, and confirms that particle and microorganism levels remain within acceptable limits. Testing ensures the cleanroom operates efficiently, safeguarding processes, people, and the environment.
Who is the CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing course designed for?
The course covers standards, information sources, cleanroom design, construction materials, air filtration systems, testing and monitoring protocols, as well as various aspects of air control and cleanliness, such as filter installation leak testing and quantification of airborne particles and microbial counts. In addition, the course looks at the crucial areas of cleanroom disciplines, materials, equipment, and machinery, as well as the proper use of cleanroom attire, including clothing, masks, and gloves.
About the CTCB-I Cleanroom Testing course
There are two levels of certification. The written exams are the same for both qualifications. However, the key distinction between the two certificates lies in the evaluation of practical skills. Professional candidates are assessed for their practical competence, while in the associate qualification, the practical aspects will be taught but not subject to examination.
Associate certification
£1,250 (includes £350 CTCB-I fee) Valid for 10 years
This certification course is intended for individuals who already possess some familiarity with cleanroom testing and desire a deeper understanding of the subject. It is also suitable for those who have less than two years of experience as cleanroom testers and wish to utilise the certification course as a foundational training step toward achieving professional recognition.
They will be required to:
- Study the self-study course notes
- attend a lecture course
- pass a written examination
- attend a half-day course on practical aspects of cleanroom testing (not examined)
Professional certification
£1,450 (includes £350 CTCB-I fee) Valid for 5 years Reaccreditation after 5 years £1,250 (includes £350 CTCB-I fee).
For people whose profession is cleanroom testing, and who routinely test all aspects of cleanroom testing. These people are examined to see if they have a satisfactory knowledge of cleanroom testing. At the time of their final exam, they will have a minimum of 2 years of experience.
They will be required to:
- Study the self-study course notes
- attend a lecture course
- pass a written examination on Cleanroom Testing
- attend a half-day course on practical aspects of cleanroom testing
- pass practical exams demonstrating a high level of competence in (a) filter integrity testing, (b) measuring air velocities and volumes and (c) particle testing
